Exploring our various rooms, students will learn about sustainability and a variety of environmental issues and how small tangible, changes in our daily lives can make a real impact on preserving and protecting our planet. We are currently accepting school field trips on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. For school groups of 25+, we typically book from 10am-12pm Groups under 25 students are usually booked between 12pm-3pm

2025 One Of A Kind Spring Show

Rooted in our purpose to champion creativity since 1975, One Of A Kind Show brings together a community of like-minded individuals to exchange ideas, stories and objects through the culture of craft. Welcoming over 140,000 visitors each year over the course of our two seasonal Shows, what drives One Of A Kind forward is the core belief that craft can enrich our lives with diverse context and perspectives, bringing together Canadian creatives for a cultural experience that can be enjoyed by everyone. From our Family Centre to play zone, workshops to artisan talks, the One Of A Kind Show is the perfect place for all age groups. With a focus on the arts, the One Of A Kind Show is seeking to offer insight for the next generation of designers, makers and small business owners. Art, design and craft is an integral part of any student’s journey, and are excited to offer the opportunity come and experience all avenues of it at our upcoming Spring Show (March 26 – 30, 2025). Students will have the self-guided opportunity to explore the Show floor, connect with over 400+ makers from across the country, and learn more about the community and spirit behind this thriving craft culture.

GRADE LEVELS: While all ages are welcome at our Show, we typically recommend school groups to be made up of older grades (Grade 7 and up), as they will be responsible for self-exploring the busy Show floor amongst our other visitors.

Sainte-Marie among the Hurons & Discovery Harbour

Our skilled and experienced historical interpreters will teach and engage your students through exploration, storytelling, lively discussion, and hands-on activities. Their mission is to connect your class to the past, in a spirit of discovery and fun. Sainte-Marie: Spend a day in 17th century Wendake! Explore Ontario’s first European community, completely reconstructed in its original location. Learning programs explore the interactions of French missionaries and the Huron-Wendat First Nation. Students enjoy hands-on historical games and craftwork. NOTE: On-site restaurant with group meal rates available. Discovery Harbour: Take your students back to the 19th century, where British warships docked, sailors and soldiers toiled, and settlers carved an existence out of the wilderness. Students of all ages love spending the day reliving history, and learning was never more engaging! Activities include musket fire, ropework, quill pen writing and more. *Field trip must be redeemed in 2025 and is subject to availability.
