Kawarthas Northumberland encompasses the regions of Kawartha Lakes, the City of Peterborough, the County of Peterborough (branded as the Kawarthas) and Northumberland County.  Many of the quaint towns & villages, and the over 350 lakes & rivers, throughout the region are connected by the Trent-Severn Waterway, National Historic Site of Canada. The region is home to Canada’s first waterway trail town program and has over 40 butter tart stops on its self-guided butter tart tour.  Kawarthas Northumberland extends from the Queen Elizabeth Highlands Provincial Park to Apsley in the north, and from Port Hope to Presqu’ile Provincial Park & Brighton Bay in the south.
